Abstract The paper presents a method for the stability assessment taking into account ship behavior in waves. The m the method aims at examining ship seakeeping ability by the numerical sea test simulation in real-life operation scenarios. The article presents an application of the method for seakeeping analysis which served as a basis for stability criterion formulation.
