In the article authors present the structure of recourses management system in local government on example of one of the Varsovian district. Recourses are understanding as building and land (cadastral) data enriched by different accessible materials. The methodology of system construction, range of data as well as functions realized by the system were introduced. The architecture of a system is (with some modifications) the classical solution characteristic for systems of GIS type. Such a system is designed to support of economic, social and administrative decision making as well as is a ground to bring cadastral system into effect

This article presents the method of inventory of flood in the real-time GIS system. The method includes: obtaining data, sending data to the server of data base, their analysis in GIS environment and presentation of results. For this purpose the Open Source type of applications were used. The last stage of the presented method is the cartographic development of the hybrid map (orthophotomap with thematic overlays). The authors gave the boundary conditions of these types of studies taking into consideration the data obtained from various sensors of high resolution image systems. The presented method in a complex way describes the development of fast-changing data from the moment of existence of the change, through their acquisition, analysis, to the cartographic development of the map of flood changes

The article presents the analysis of possibilities of using the Digital Elevation (Surface) Models for creation of the 3D cadastre. The authors present the characteristics and meaning of the three-dimensional modelling of objects in the context of solving problems occurring with the traditional two-dimensional cadastre. The paper presents imperfections of the 2D cadastre and indicates possibilities of their removal based on altitude data acquired from the laser scanning. It determines the accuracy of data obtained with lidar techniques and indicates their limitations in specifying the exceeding. As a result of the carried out analysis and theoretical considerations, the authors have indicated the potential possibilities of the usage of Digital Surface (Elevation) Models for the construction of the three-dimensional cadastre system

In many sea areas there is significant recreational activity, with many sailing vessels and motor boats navigating, especially in coastal areas. Search and Rescue (SAR) organizations ensure the safety of people at sea, and are relatively frequently called to perform rescue or assistance missions to people in distress. Apart from the importance of adequate operational planning and training, rescue organizations benefit from establishing a robust, effective and cost-efficient response system. Risk-informed capacity planning can serve as a decision-support tool for determining the number and location of the required search and rescue units (SRUs). The purpose of this paper is to present such a risk-informed approach, which combines analysis of historic accident and incident data of recreational boating with information derived from Geographic Information System (GIS) methods. The method is applied to a case study focusing on the risk-informed capacity evaluation of the voluntary search and rescue services in the Finnish part of the Gulf of Finland. Results indicate that the response performance for recreational boating incidents is very good in most areas.
