The paper presents assumptions concering estimation of the safety of navigation under a bridge over the river. Taking into account these assumptions, the simulation of the river push train movement has been carried out using MMSIM computer softweare. The described method can be used for determining ship's swept path in various hydro-meteorological conditions and for designing the type of a bridge to be built and the position of piers providing for an accepted level of navigational.
