In the article, the authors presented the conception of station for detection, location and analysis of ground and soil contamination. The mobile station of detecting and spatial analysis of ground contamination integrates apparatus applied in remote sensing and geophysical measuring. The remote sensing part of the station is based on hyperspectral remote sensing system which uses differential measurement of reflection coefficients of polluted and non-polluted surfaces. The geophysics part of the station involves two non-invasive methods: the radar and electro resistivity tomography (measurements of EM waves propagation in ground – water environment). These methods are complementary to each other. The integration of methods applied in two branches of science gives the entirely new possibilities of superficial ground contamination researches in connection with the depth of the contamination and its influence on underground structures such as: underground waters, water-bearing (aquiferous) layers, transmission or industrial installations. The interdisciplinary character of proposed method allows, through complex utilization of remote sensing and geophysics methods, to obtain a spatial and dynamic model of the contaminated terrain

The topic of the publication is the presentation of the method of rapid mapping performation. Rapid mapping are performed in special situations, if a terrain is subjected to significant changes or a quick human reaction is needed. Such performation can be available both in paper and digital versions, published on on-line websites – depending on the needs. For rapid mapping almost every type of image data can be used. In rapid mapping different editorial rules are applicable, it is acceptable to make imaging legible with materials of much less detail. A scale of the design is determined based on the interpretation possibilities, and not on the base of predetermined resolution of the design.

The article presents the technical aspects of Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and Digital Surface Model (DSM) built on the basic of Very High Resolution (VHR) data to create orthophotomap in a rapid mapping mode. The final part of the paper is accuracy assessment of orthophotomap built on the same elevation models which were used in a rapid mapping way. In the article were using aerial photography’s gained from digital camera UltraCam Xp by Vexcel. The spatial resolution of this images is 0.10 m. Example data of Gazoport in Świnoujście were processed using photogrammetry software Agisoft PhotoScan. The usefulness of both DSM and orthophotomap products were achieved by cross calculating mean errors. Orthophotomap created in a rapid mapping way, with minimum set of images, was built across using Ground Control Points (GCP). The source of GCP points was the Polish Spatial Data Infrastructure Geoportal. Check points were measured using both geoportal and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in the Real Time Kinematic (RTK) mode.

The article deals with the latest developments in the thermal technology used for equipment diagnosis. According to the authors, the turn of the century started a new age of the technology of the thermal imaging systems and their availability. Infrared cameras have been significantly miniaturized, are easy to use and create high resolution real-time image. Thermal measurements can be done from a safe distance, even if the equipment is under load. These features make a thermal camera a perfect tool for technical condition monitoring.

This article presents a method of determining the spatial orientation of measuring sensors. This method is based on isometric space transformation of a rigid body registered in an oblique coordinate system and is adopted for photogrammetric purposes. The approach is based on incomplete coordinate systems used for determination of transformation parameters. In this publication an incomplete coordinate system is one without one of the axes and in which the matching points connected to primary and secondary coordinate systems are on the two other axes. On the basis of angular momentum, translocation of the beginning of coordinate system is determined first. The next step is to calculate the Euler angles – exterior orientation of sensor. In this method the beginning (the center) of the coordinate system is associated with the sensor itself. This approach, in comparison with the methods known from photogrammetry and remote sensing, allows one to reduce the points needed for transformation. In case of determining the Euler angles two points are indispensable and, in case of moving the beginning of coordinate system, three points are essential. At the end of this paper the analysis of transformation, based on independent control points (ICP), was completed.

This article presents the problem of surveying landslide prone areas. Discussed are the possibility of using photogrammetry methods for digital imaging, creating Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and Digital Elevation Models (DEM) of slope surface and combining these with the ground’s angle of internal friction, cohesion and hydrogeological data. Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) with inclined high precision cameras show different slope angles than UASs with vertical cameras. Expressly, we can see places within the landslide area where the angle of internal friction and cohesion are low. These places are the most likely to suffer further mass movements causing fissures and ground displacements. In the observed landslide area we separated the steep parts of the slope, with low cohesion values, and the slight parts of the slope, with low values of angle of internal friction. In these different areas, landslides can evolve in different ways and at different speeds. The Factor of Safety (FS) was calculated for different types of area which allowed the probability of new mass movements to be checked for different areas. This method can be useful for C-B and X-Band PSI Interferometry Data. Because of the damage potentially incurred by landslides, there is a need to better understand these natural phenomena, especially their methods and speed of development and how they can be prevented from forming in the future.
