Loose cohesionless bulk cargoes in its composition contain fractions of different size of particles. Some of them are included into the dustiness fractions. One of these solid bulk cargoes is soybean seed cake. It contains in its composition fractions of different sizes. Constantly increasing demand for the bulk cargoes, has increased the interest in the issue of maritime security. Soybean seed cake is transported by various means of transport, including maritime transport. As it is characterized by loose cargo tends to pour athwart on board, which may lead to displacement of the center of ship’s gravity and in consequences may have led to the capsizing of the vessel. In this article influence of small fractions of soybean seed cake one size of the static angle of repose, kinetic (natural) angle of repose, bulk density and porosity in terms of safety of the transport of soybean cake by the sea is presented. The results were shown in the graphs and were statistically elaborated.

Plaster plays an important role in the building industry. Besides an aesthetic function it provides the protection of external walls from weather conditions. In the paper thermo insulating Thermopor plaster was described. Its chemical and physical properties and manner of using were defined. The impact on the environment with the use of LCA technique was examined. Thermopor plaster can fulfil a thermo insulating function. The economic and ecological analysis of applying this plaster in the thermo insulation of the external walls of the building was conducted. The use of Thermopor plaster on external walls brings ecological benefits. The reimbursement of ecological cost related to the use of this plaster appears already after 2 to 5 years, depending on the source of heat used, which results from the decrease of thermal energy consumption for heating the building. For economic reasons, the partial reimbursement of cost is obtained as a result of the reduction of heating cost. Although Thermopor plaster has thermo insulating properties similar to typical insulating materials, such as polystyrene or mineral wool, the economic cost of using the plaster for thermo insulation becomes several times higher

This paper presents the results of studies on the influence of unbalance of the rotor unit of a turbocharger on its operational parameters. Identification of the study object, a turbocharger of the NAPIER C-045 type, has been performed. The experiment was carried out at a test stand identifying turbocharger operational parameters belonging to the rotor unit unbalance group. Basing on the measured values and using a mathematical model, hypothetical values of operational parameters for different loads of Diesel engines were calculated. The obtained experimental results were compared to the calculated ones. On this basis, the studied turbochargers were classified into one out of three categories describing operational utility class of a given turbocharger. The order of sensitivity of turbocharger operational parameters to the unbalance of the rotor unit was establishe

Analysis of interaction IPi with TMi is made, types of modification of TMi, which are made under influence of IPi are researched. It’s shown that synthesis of IPi with TMi is made on different levels of abstract reflection of interacting components. This allows ensuring correct transformations which take place in TMi, during implementation of processes of synthesis IPi with TMi. Beside semantic parameters and their values imagination about priorities which characterize separate components of text models is introduced. Such extension allows better taking into account of semantic of separate text components during making processes of synthesis of IPi with TMi, which leads to increase of abilities of adequate description of social objects by means of text models

Enterprises functioning on the contemporary market oblige their suppliers to prove that they are ready to fulfil the requirements in a systematic and reproducible way. Such a proof can be an effective Quality Management System, functioning in an enterprise in accordance with ISO 9001-2008 standard. The effectiveness of the system depends among others on the degree of the employees’ involvement in the fulfilment of requirements and regulations resulting from the system documentation. The most frequently applied method for evaluating this effectiveness are reports on internal audits. However, the results of audits are not always sufficient. In the article the author will present an innovative method of evaluating a Quality Management System (QMS), based on the author’s survey study conducted among the employees of an industrial enterprise, which was aimed at exploring their opinions, the degree of engagement and acquaintance of QMS functioning in the enterprise. The results of the conducted research will be used by the Quality Management System Plenipotentiary to improve the system and co-operation between departments functioning in the organisation

Even though the literature is abundant in numerous studies concerning syntactic and semantic principles of the EPC model development, one may still have certain doubts when linking such models with one another. This article primarily addresses the principles of creating EPC models, particularly those relevant from the perspective of linking them, identified based on the literature research. What follows the said analysis is a proposal of an alternative concept which may be adopted in this respect. The author has discussed the cases in which models must be subject to specific modifications in order for the linking solution proposed to be applicable

The article presents the results of investigations into the failure frequency of a selected strategic machine, i.e. a plastic extruder working in an enterprise manufacturing pre-insulated pipes for the needs of the heatgenerating industry. The analysis has been focused on the time of failure-free work, the time of waiting for a failure to be repaired and the time of failure removal by means of MTBF, MTTR and MTR indicators. The analysis has been conducted in the aspect of machine’s work with uneven load, which is forced by the seasonal, changeable character of the production volume. Changes in the determined indicators were examined in particular production periods and at monthly intervals during a calendar year. The research analysis and the conclusions formulated on its basis made it possible to put forward a proposal of measures aimed at improving the current situation and ensuring a better effectiveness of activities undertaken by maintenance teams, as well as their better co-operation with production departments
